President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced at a videoconference a decision that will open a new era in the social protection system. He emphasized that people with disabilities and limited income opportunities will no longer be included in the register of the poor, as support for such citizens will be fully covered by the state.
At the meeting, it was noted that the "Equal Opportunities - Inclusive Employment" project will be launched from the new year, and the main task is to provide jobs for 40 thousand people with disabilities. For these purposes, an interest-free loan of up to 30 million soums will be allocated from the Employment Fund.
Families at risk of poverty will retain the existing benefits and assistance: 6 months of material assistance, child benefits, reimbursement of expenses for kindergartens and clubs, as well as wide access to 110 types of social services for 12 months.
At the same time, a system will be established to identify families at high risk of falling into difficult life situations in advance and provide them with targeted assistance.
The First Deputy Director of the National Agency for Social Protection, Shakhnoza Mirziyoyeva, was entrusted with overseeing the implementation of these tasks and monitoring their implementation on the ground. This instruction of the President means that the policy of protecting the population will be further strengthened next year.
