Komil Ismoilovich Allamjonov has been appointed to the important position of Advisor-Authorized Representative, meaning the Authorized Representative of the Presidential Administration (PA) in the USA. The instruction regarding this was adopted by the decree of the Head of the Presidential Administration, Saida Mirziyoyeva. Komil Allamjonov will also continue his activities in parallel as an independent advisor on a public basis, a position he has held since June of this year.
Direct connection with the new council
This appointment is directly related to the America–Uzbekistan Business and Investment Council, established in November of this year in accordance with a presidential decree. The Council deals with the coordination of strategic business initiatives, the promotion and monitoring of large investment and trade projects. The Council is co-chaired jointly by Saida Mirziyoyeva on the Uzbek side and the US Special Presidential Representative Sergio Gor on the American side.
According to the decree, the additional position of Advisor-Ambassador – Representative of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan in the USA will be included in the structure of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the USA starting from January 1, 2026. The holder of the new position is accountable to the Head of the PA in their activities and is responsible for assisting the head of Uzbekistan's diplomatic mission to the USA in the part concerning the development of bilateral relations.
