It is no secret that the problems related to the ecology of the capital have become increasingly acute in recent years. It was decided to take this situation, which affects everything from the quality of life to the health of the population, extremely seriously and promptly. Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed an important decree "On Urgent Measures to Improve the Environmental Situation in the City of Tashkent."
A special commission on ecology has been created
According to the decree, a special commission will be created to eliminate environmental problems in Tashkent. This commission will develop a comprehensive program in such key areas as improving the air quality of the capital, protecting and expanding green spaces, and reducing harmful emissions from traffic. At the same time, the issue of conducting the activities of industrial enterprises in accordance with environmental requirements will also be strictly monitored.
Air quality - the main priority
It has been established that the amount of harmful particles in the air of Tashkent has increased due to the annual increase in inversion, a decrease in precipitation, and excessive traffic jams. The new commission will develop strategic solutions not only for the short term, but also for the long term to mitigate this situation.
Green zones and transport reforms will be strengthened
One of the important points of the decree is the preservation of green spaces in the capital, increasing the number of trees and expanding the number of parks. At the same time, the issue of reducing the source of traffic, which negatively affects the environment, with the growing number of private cars, was also specifically noted. The task is to pursue an active, not passive, environmental policy.
Public Health - at the center
The main goal of the tasks defined in the Decree is to create clean air, a safe environment, and comfortable living conditions for the residents of Tashkent. Speaking about ecology, it was especially emphasized that it is a factor that directly affects not only nature, but also human health.
In short, today's decree marked a new stage in the development of the capital's ecology. It is expected that with the help of the new measures being implemented, the ecological landscape of Tashkent will significantly improve, and the population will have the opportunity to live in a healthier and more comfortable environment.
