Air quality in Tashkent has begun to improve significantly

Today, December 7, at 09:00 in the morning, according to the measured indicators, a significant improvement in the quality of atmospheric air was observed in Tashkent. This was announced in an official statement from Uzhydromet.

According to data recorded by automatic air pollution monitoring stations, the amount of fine particulate matter of the PM10 type in the sky of the capital amounted to 45.1 μg/m3. This indicator is safe for the population, being several times lower than the permissible norm - 300 mcg/m3.

Also, another important indicator in the air - the concentration of PM2.5 particles - was 27.4 μg/m3. This was also noted as a positive case with the established norm not exceeding 60 μg/m3.

Notably, despite rain in Tashkent on December 4th, the air was not clear, and on the morning of December 5th, PM2.5 levels were again recorded above normal. Today's improvement is explained by the natural circulation and exchange of air masses in the atmosphere.

It is emphasized that the steady improvement of air quality in the capital is of great importance for public health and the state of the environment.
