Increased Interest in Uzbekistan Among French Tourists

Increased flow of French tourists: Growing interest in Uzbekistan

In recent years, Uzbekistan's tourism potential has been steadily gaining recognition on the international stage. Particularly among European countries, the number of individuals expressing interest in visiting Uzbekistan continues to grow. Official data from the National Statistics Committee confirms this upward trend.

According to reports, during the January–October period of 2025, a total of 27.5 thousand French citizens traveled to Uzbekistan for tourism purposes. Compared to the same period last year, this figure has increased by 5.8 thousand people, or nearly 27 percent. These numbers are not merely statistics—they are a clear indication of the growing trust and interest in Uzbekistan.

Experts attribute the positive dynamics in the influx of French tourists in the first 10 months of 2025 to Uzbekistan's open tourism policies, visa-free regime, rich historical heritage, and safe travel environment. It is no coincidence that a significant portion of French citizens are choosing Uzbekistan specifically as a travel destination.

Statistics show the travel purposes of French visitors are distributed as follows: 25.2 thousand visited for tourism, 1.1 thousand for business trips, 1 thousand to visit relatives, 76 for education purposes, and 20 for commercial activities.

The data clearly demonstrates that tourism remains the predominant reason for visits. This highlights the global appreciation for Uzbekistan's historical cities like Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, along with its national cuisine, cultural events, and renowned hospitality.

In conclusion, the growing number of French tourists is not just about numbers. It is a signal that Uzbekistan's tourism sector is on the right track. If this trend continues, there is no doubt that the European market will become an even more significant direction for the country in the near future. The path is set, the interest is present—and greater achievements lie ahead.
