Uzhydromet has warned that dangerous natural phenomena may occur in a number of mountainous areas of Uzbekistan. According to the information provided, due to increased precipitation and changes in air temperature between December 17 and 22, the likelihood of snow avalanches may rise in some regions.
In particular, this risk is forecast for the mountainous districts of the Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya, Samarkand, Jizzakh, Tashkent, and Namangan regions. Special caution is required in settlements located at the foothills, as well as in recreational areas.
Specialists urge residents of these areas, tourists, and drivers traveling through these regions to strictly observe safety rules. A momentary lack of attention can lead to serious consequences.
