Uzhydromet has issued a weather forecast for the period from December 31 to January 7. According to him, in the first week of the New Year, the weather in the regions of the republic will be mostly changeable, and on some days, short-term precipitation may be observed.
In Karakalpakstan and Khorezm regions, light rain is possible in some places on the night and in the morning of December 31. In the following days, from January 1-7, no precipitation is expected, fog is possible in some areas. East wind 7-12 m/s. Temperature at night is expected to drop to -8°C, during the day 0-8°C.
In Bukhara and Navoi regions, rain is possible in some places on December 31. On January 1-2, the weather will be dry, and on January 3, there is a possibility of rain turning to snow. No precipitation is expected in the coming days. The temperature will remain within 5-15 degrees Celsius during the day.
In Tashkent, Samarkand, Jizzakh, and Syrdarya regions, December 31 will be accompanied by rain in some areas. On January 1-2, the weather will be clear, and on January 3, it may rain or snow in some places. By the end of the week, the temperature will be -3°C at night and 3-8°C during the day.
In Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions, the weather will be relatively warm during the New Year week, with rain possible only on certain days. The daytime temperature will be 7-15 degrees Celsius.
No precipitation is expected in the Fergana Valley, except for the possibility of rain in some areas on January 1 and 3. East wind 7-12 m/s. Temperature during the day 3-10°C.
In mountainous areas, rain and snow are possible from December 31st to January 3rd, with possible strengthening in some areas. In the following days, the weather will be mostly dry, with nighttime temperatures dropping to 5-10 degrees Celsius.
Experts recommend increased caution during the New Year's week, especially in areas where fog and slippery roads may be observed.
