Due to the cold weather, restrictions have been imposed on the operation of gas stations

Due to the decrease in air temperature, a temporary restriction on the operation of methane gas stations has been introduced again. The Ministry of Energy provided official information about this today, 20 January.
It is noted that in order to ensure uninterrupted supply of energy resources to the population and consumers, the energy system is currently operating in an enhanced 24-hour operating mode. It was noted that the progress of work in the regions is constantly monitored, and various malfunctions are eliminated as quickly as possible.
The Ministry also stated that the demand for natural gas has increased significantly due to a sharp drop in air temperature. As a result, the demand in the gas networks increased, and the gas pressure in the pipelines also decreased.
"Therefore, a temporary restriction has been introduced on the operation of gas filling compressor stations," the report says.
It was added that these measures are aimed at maintaining a stable gas supply to the population only during cold weather. The Ministry stated that the restrictions could be lifted gradually as the situation stabilizes. Based on the situation in the regions, additional information will be provided.
At the same time, it was noted that in order to meet the needs of the population, gas supply to social facilities and public transport will be provided without restrictions and in a stable manner.
