Tomatoes, potatoes and apples have become more expensive in Uzbekistan

According to the National Statistics Committee, inflation in February 2026 amounted to 0.6%.

During the month, an increase in prices of some fruits and vegetables was observed. In particular, the price of tomatoes increased by 12.1% (compared to February 2025 −12.5%), pumpkin by 11.7% (compared to February 2025 −57.1%), potatoes by 5.0% (compared to February 2025 +2.0%), bell pepper by 4.2% (compared to February 2025 −15.1%), apples by 4.1% (compared to February 2025 +12.4%), lemons by 3.6% (compared to February 2025 +90.0%), bananas by 3.0% (compared to February 2025 +2.4%), carrots and cabbage by 1.8% (compared to February 2025 respectively +8.8% and +10.6%).

At the same time, a decrease in prices of some products was also observed.

In particular, the price of cucumbers decreased by 13.8% (compared to February 2025 −13.0%), mandarins by 5.6% (compared to February 2025 +15.8%), oranges by 5.4% (compared to February 2025 +6.8%), beetroot by 1.7% (compared to February 2025 +8.3%). The price of onions decreased by 0.9% (compared to February 2025 −3.0%).
