President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was presented with a report on the implementation of priority tasks in the oil and gas industry and the work being done to develop the sector. On January 30, the head of state gave specific instructions to fundamentally improve the activities of "O'zbekneftgaz", expand hydrocarbon reserves, and introduce modern technologies into production. While the initial stage of these tasks was analyzed on February 23, today's meeting focused on a deep study of the results achieved and shortcomings.
One of the most important areas in the sector is accelerating geological exploration and developing new fields. During the reporting period, officials noted that 3D seismic exploration was carried out on an area of 471 square kilometers. Also, 11 new wells were put into operation through drilling, and repair work was completed on 20 existing wells. In addition, 5 important technological measures were implemented to stabilize production volumes. Such efforts are crucial for ensuring the country's energy security.
The meeting focused not only on production volumes but also on ensuring the financial stability of enterprises and increasing operational efficiency. It was emphasized that it is necessary to increase the profitability of the sector by optimizing costs, saving energy resources, and introducing modern management systems. The head of state set additional tasks for industry leaders to work based on accurate calculations and strictly observe discipline.
In conclusion, the oil and gas sector is the locomotive of our economy. Therefore, the efficiency of every project and every well must be under state control. The implementation of the tasks given by the President serves not only to develop the sector but also to provide the population and economic sectors with uninterrupted energy resources. In the future, expanding exploration and adopting international experience will remain a priority task to enrich the hydrocarbon base.
