Asian Grand Prix 2026 in Tashkent

Tashkent will host the Asian Grand Prix 2026, one of the biggest international backgammon tournaments of the year, from March 22 to March 29. The event will take place at the Axelon center in the Shaykhantakhur district and is expected to bring together around 350 of the world’s strongest players.
The competition will feature both short and long backgammon across several categories. Players will compete in blitz events, the Masters Cup, team contests, and women’s tournaments. Organizers have announced a total prize fund of $500,000, making the tournament one of the most valuable events on the regional backgammon calendar.
According to the organizers, English will be the official language of the tournament. Participants must be at least 16 years old, meaning players born in 2010 or earlier are eligible to enter. Registration is currently open through the official website of the International Backgammon Federation.
