A new dual approach is being introduced in the agricultural education system

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On additional measures to improve the activities of Tashkent State Agrarian University”, the country is entering a stage of fundamental renewal of the educational process in the agricultural sector.

According to the new system, the balance between theoretical knowledge and practical classes in the educational process will be gradually revised. In particular, in the 1st year, 60% of the studies will be focused on theoretical knowledge and 40% on practical skills. In the 2nd year, this ratio becomes equal and is organized as 50/50.

In the 3rd year, priority is given to practical training — 70% of the educational process consists of practical classes and 30% of theoretical studies. This will help students adapt more quickly to real working conditions.

In addition, in order to further strengthen the professional skills of senior students, a 4-month continuous dual education system will be introduced. During this period, students will be temporarily separated from theoretical lessons and will undergo full practical training at production enterprises and sectoral organizations.

It is expected that these reforms will significantly improve the quality of training competitive and practice-ready specialists in the agricultural sector.

The new approach is expected to take the quality and efficiency of agricultural education to a new level.
