Growth recorded in the financial performance of Uzbekistan Temir Yullari

Growth has been recorded in the financial performance of the Uzbekistan Temir Yullari company. In the first quarter of the current year, the company paid 158 billion soums in income tax to the state budget. For comparison, this figure was 104 billion soums during the same period last year.

According to balance sheet data, the company's assets increased by 1.55 trillion soums, reaching 47 trillion 996 billion soums. An increase in liabilities of 1.07 trillion soums was one of the main factors in this growth. At the same time, the reserve capital of 10.4 trillion soums and the authorized capital of 4.3 trillion soums remained unchanged.

Previously, it was announced that ticket prices for some local passenger trains would increase starting February 1st. Specifically, tickets for the Afrosiyob, Sharq, Nasaf, and Uzbekistan trains became 15 percent more expensive on average.

The company explained the tariff hikes by citing increased costs for maintenance, spare parts, electricity, and operations. It was also stated that the need to ensure traffic safety, maintain service quality at international standards, and regularly upgrade infrastructure was taken into account.
