
The updated results of the Visa Index, an international ranking that compares passport strength and visa-free travel opportunities, have been published. According to the latest data, the Uzbekistan passport ranks 80th, allowing visa-free access to 62 countries.

Central Asian countries are ranked as follows:
- Kazakhstan — 63rd place (visa-free access to 44 countries)
- Kyrgyzstan — 79th place (27 countries)
- Tajikistan — 84th place (23 countries)
- Turkmenistan — 92nd place (48 countries)
Among these, Uzbekistan leads in the number of visa-free destinations.
Strongest and weakest passports
According to Visa Index:
Strongest passport — Singapore (visa-free to 195 countries)
Weakest passport — Afghanistan (visa-free to only 10 countries)
How is the ranking calculated?
A passport’s rank depends on:
- the number of countries accessible without a visa,
- destinations allowing entry via Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA),
- and those requiring a traditional visa.
