Russia exported 379 kg of earthworms to the UAE!
379 kilograms of live earthworms grown in the Sverdlovsk region of Russia have been exported to the United Arab Emirates. This was reported by the press service of the local department of Rosselkhoznadzor.

According to the report, these earthworms are used in the Emirates to increase soil fertility, prepare biohumus (vermicompost) and produce environmentally friendly fertilizers.

According to experts, earthworms convert organic waste into high-quality biohumus. Vermicompost contains up to 1.5% nitrogen, 0.5% phosphorus and 0.5% potassium, as well as other valuable microelements necessary for plant development.

According to sources, these earthworms were grown on a special vermifarm located in the city of Yekaterinburg. In the vermifarm, food waste is processed in special closed containers with the help of earthworms and turned into environmentally beneficial biohumus.

Veterinary documents for the exported worms have also been prepared.

It is worth noting that earthworms are a very profitable business. They are widely used not only in the production of fertilizers in agriculture, but also as feed for fish. In some countries, earthworms are also used in the production of pharmaceutical products.
