Tensions in the Middle East have escalated even further — Iran struck American military facilities. According to various sources, a missile launched from Iranian territory was destroyed over the Qatari capital, Doha. US defense systems responded effectively to at least six missiles.
The attacks were carried out in response to the US air operation against Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. Interestingly, the Iranian army named this operation “In Honor of Victory,” while the operation against US objects in Iraq is called “Abu Abdullah.”
After the attack, Iranian military made the following statement: “Any aggression against the territorial integrity and national security of our country will not go unanswered.”
Iran’s strikes were directed at the most important US military facility in Qatar — the “Al-Udeid” airbase, which is considered one of the strategic points of central command. Therefore, prior to the attack, US military forces were on high alert based on intelligence information.
According to Fox News, during the attack, the base was actively equipped with defense systems, and civilians were directed to safety points. At the same time, the Qatari government imposed temporary restrictions on flights in the country. The US embassy advised its citizens not to leave safe places.
Before the attacks — on the night of June 22 — US troops carried out an unexpected strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. B-2 strategic bombers and Tomahawk missiles actively participated in this operation. Trump described it as “not a regime change, but a one-time response.”
Now, all attention is focused on the development of relations between Iran and the US, as well as the reaction of international organizations such as FIFA. Such a continuous escalation of events threatens the security of the entire Middle East.
