Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky explained why the attacks on the country had stopped and urged serious conclusions to be drawn. According to him, there have been no massive missile attacks on Kyiv and other cities for two consecutive nights.
Zelensky linked this pause to the visit of a special US representative — General Keith Kellogg — to Ukraine.
"Since General Kellogg arrived, the skies have been calm. For two nights in a row, there has been no major attack. People are already joking: ‘Give Kellogg a Ukrainian passport and let him stay here!’ All this shows one thing — Putin is afraid of America," Zelensky said in his address.
According to Zelensky, the Russian leadership is clearly paying attention to the military and political influence of the United States. He noted that the presence of military figures like Kellogg is causing Moscow to urgently recalculate its plans.
These remarks sparked discussion not only within Ukraine but also in the international media space. Many analysts view this statement as a significant shift in Russia–US relations.
At the same time, Zelensky once again thanked his American partners, calling their role in the current situation a "strategic key."
Against the background of this event, a mood of temporary peace has intensified in Ukrainian society. However, experts consider this silence to be temporary and warn that any potential threat must be anticipated.
Undoubtedly, Zelensky perceives Putin's retreat in the face of US involvement not just as words, but as a tangible result. This can be seen as a major diplomatic victory for Ukraine. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
