According to The Mirror, a serious situation was recorded in the air while US President Donald Trump and his wife were flying to London. The Boeing 747 carrying the president could have collided with a Spirit Airlines passenger plane in the airspace over New York.
Reportedly, the air traffic controllers, immediately realizing that the situation was becoming dangerous, immediately ordered the pilots of the Spirit 1300 flight, heading from Fort Lauderdale to Boston, to change course. Thanks to this, the planes separated within a few miles, and safety standards were not violated.
Trump and his wife embarked on a state visit to the United Kingdom on September 16. This is his second official visit in history. The first visit took place in 2019. It should be noted that no American president had been invited to such an extent under the royal protocol before him.
The presidential couple was solemnly welcomed by King Charles III at Windsor Castle on September 17. During the visit, Trump is scheduled to hold talks with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
According to sources, Washington and London are expected to sign economic agreements worth over $10 billion during this visit. These agreements will further strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries.
