The US military has banned military men from growing beards

The US Army prohibits military men from growing beards. This was announced by Pentagon chief Pete Heggett. Also, new height and weight requirements are being introduced for military personnel in the army. Physical fitness tests are conducted twice a year.

Hegset stated that overweight generals and admirals cannot be seen through the troops passing through the Pentagon. The Pentagon also prohibits men serving in the military from having beards and long hair, but only some special forces are exempt from these rules.

Pit Heggett also noted that the new demands could affect the number of women in the US Army. He emphasized that the new rules were not introduced to reduce the number of women.
