Racism and discrimination in London police
BBC carried out an undercover investigation and found racism and discrimination against women in the London Metropolitan Police. The journalist worked in the police for seven months and exposed violence by staff and racist attitudes towards immigrants.

The videos showed Sergeant Joe Mkilveni using rude language towards women. Other officers used force against detainees and expressed racist views.

As a result of the investigation, eight staff members were temporarily suspended, and two officers were removed from front-line duties. Police Chief Sir Mark Rowley called the actions “unacceptable.”

The management promised to continue fighting racism and discrimination against women among staff. The investigation showed that some staff still have old problems.
