Archaeologists discovered 12,000-year-old rock art in the Nefud Desert of Saudi Arabia. In this desert, where today the scorching sun and sands reign, archaeologists discovered carved images of animals of natural size. These images, created between approximately 12,800 and 11,400 BC, provide valuable information about the culture of generations who lived in the desert.
The find creates a new idea about the methods and communities used by hunter-gatherers at that time. Researchers emphasize that these examples of art prove the existence of developed communities and cultures before the emergence of modern cities at that time.
