Media reported that the military, having seized power in Madagascar, announced the formation of a collegial governing body headed by Colonel Michael Randrianina.
In her statement, Randrianina announced the official abolition of the country's constitution. At the same time, the establishment of the Supreme Court for State Reforms was announced.
The newly created court will spend two years reviewing Madagascar's constitutional foundations and conducting referendums and nationwide elections on this basis.
