The Russian Federation is ready to deepen strategic cooperation with Iran in all areas. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made a statement about this. According to him, relations between Moscow and Tehran are developing steadily and consistently.
"Russia is certainly ready to expand cooperation with Iran in all areas. Iran is our important partner, and these relations are developing dynamically," Peskov said in an interview with journalists.
He also condemned the pressure of European countries on Iran, noting that these actions contradict international diplomatic norms.
In recent years, Russia and Iran have become closer in the political, economic, energy, defense, and transport spheres, and many joint projects are being implemented between the two countries. Currently, active negotiations are underway to increase trade turnover, build international logistics routes, and exchange technologies.
According to observers, this cooperation means that the two countries are increasing interdependence against the backdrop of European and US sanctions.
