
Turkish border services prevented an attempt to smuggle large quantities of drugs into the country from Iran.
According to the Turkish Ministry of Commerce, 721 kilograms of liquid methamphetamine were found during a special operation conducted at one of the Gurbulak checkpoints in the Agri region on November 1.
It is noted that the total value of the seized drugs is 2 billion 612 million Turkish liras, which is approximately 62 million 185 thousand US dollars.
Also, since the beginning of the year, a total of 30.1 thousand kilograms of narcotics have been seized in Turkey, the total value of which has exceeded 96 billion dollars.
