Heavy tornado destroys cities in Brazil, dozens of people injured

A powerful tornado hit the southern Brazilian state of Paraná last night. According to local authorities, at least five people died as a result of the natural disaster, and more than 130 citizens were injured. Several of them were hospitalized in serious condition.

Meteorologists attribute this strong tornado to the activation of a dangerous cloud system called a "superstorm." In some areas, wind speeds reached up to 250 kilometers per hour. This is a F2-F3 level tornado on the Fujita scale.

Strong winds caused serious damage to hundreds of residential buildings, schools, retail outlets, and infrastructure networks. The electricity supply in the area has been cut off, many roads have been blocked, and traffic has been disrupted.

Emergency services and military rescuers are still carrying out work to eliminate the debris and evacuate the population to safe places. The khokimiyat formed a commission to assess the amount of damage and restoration costs in the region.

Currently, weather experts are conducting analysis to determine the consequences of tornadoes and prevent such natural disasters in the future.
