In the German capital Berlin, the incident went down in history - a local woman gave birth to five children at the same time. This was reported by the Telegraph publication.
According to reports, the delivery took place at the end of September at the "Sharite" clinic, one of the country's largest medical institutions. Delivery was performed by cesarean section, in which 25 doctors participated. The woman gave birth to three daughters and two sons.
According to the Berliner Morgenpost newspaper, the mother and baby are currently healthy and feeling well. They are currently under medical supervision and are scheduled to be discharged in the coming days.
Sharite specialists emphasize that the birth of five twins is a very rare occurrence - such natural pregnancies occur in only one out of 50 million cases.
Wolfgang Heinrich, head of the clinic's obstetrics department, said:
"Such deliveries are a serious test even for doctors with many years of experience. This is a process that requires not only physical, but also teamwork and high responsibility."
Germany also has a comprehensive system of state financial assistance for families with children. It is called "Kindergeld" or "child benefit." This allowance is paid monthly automatically to parents with children.
According to the Practical Norms for 2024:
- for the first and second child - 219 euros per month,
- for a third child - 225 euros,
- 250 euros for each fourth and subsequent child.
This payment is valid until the child reaches the age of 18. If they continue their studies or are looking for work, the benefit can be extended until the age of 21.
Thus, this birth in Berlin is not only a great achievement for the medical team, but also another vivid demonstration of attention and support for families in Germany.
