Now some bloggers may not be allowed to enter Korea

The South Korean government is considering imposing restrictions on foreign bloggers who spread false or offensive information about the country. This was reported by The Korea Times.

According to the information, at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Justice Chun Song Ho put forward a proposal to ban such bloggers from entering the country. According to him, this step is aimed at protecting Korea's international image.

"We are taking measures to restrict the entry of foreigners who promote hatred or insults against South Korea," the minister said.

While such videos were previously rated as "clickbait," now they can lead to serious consequences. If the new rules come into force, bloggers will not only be deprived of entry into the country, but will also be subject to investigation.

The initiative was put forward after several disputes. For example, American streamer Johnny was investigated for a video of disturbing public order in Somalia, and Japanese blogger Debo-chan was criticized for spreading fake videos.

Officials believe the new system will be an effective measure against content that unjustifiably insults Korean culture and society.
