
On the evening of November 14th, a powerful explosion at a police station in Novgama, Jammu and Kashmir, completely destabilized the situation. According to NDTV, 9 people died as a result of the tragedy, and another 29 people were hospitalized with serious and minor injuries.
The explosion reportedly occurred while specialists were examining seized explosives imported from Faridabad, Haryana. The wounded were hospitalized at the Indian Army's 92nd Base Hospital and the Sher-i-Kashmir Medical Institute.
Most of the deceased were police officers studying the explosives and forensic specialists. It was also reported that two employees of the Srinagar administration were killed.
Before the explosion, police found posters belonging to the "Jaysh-e-Muhammad" group and seized a large quantity of explosives during the investigation. Several individuals connected to the group have been detained.
In recent days, the region has been experiencing continuous unrest - eight people were killed and another 24 injured in a car explosion in Delhi a few days ago. A day later, at least 12 people went missing in a car attack in Islamabad.
