Explosion hazard: leading French TV channel suspends operations

The renowned French television channel BFMTV was forced to suspend broadcasting today due to the threat of an explosion, Le Parisien reported.

According to reports, an unknown internet user wrote that the explosion in the building where the TV channel studio is located occurred at 15:15 local time. After the threat message, the building was immediately evacuated, and the broadcast was suspended.

Police and a group of sappers are currently conducting a full inspection of the building. Law enforcement agencies took the message seriously and are working to identify the source of the threat.
