Bear attacks schoolchildren in Canada

A grizzly bear attack occurred during a school walk in Bella Coola, a village in British Columbia, Canada. The incident occurred 700 km from Vancouver.

When the fourth and fifth-grade students were on a walk in nature, they were attacked by an aggressive bear. One of the students - 10-year-old Alvarez - was so close to the animal that his mother said she "feeled its fur."

A total of 11 people were injured. Two of them are in serious condition, and two others are in moderate condition. One of the teachers, trying to protect the children, turned the bear's attack on himself. After the incident, classes at the school were suspended.
