One of the most high-profile crimes leading up to 2026 has been solved in the Vladimir region. According to the official report from local law enforcement, 54-year-old Uzbek citizen K.M. visited the house of his 48-year-old acquaintance L.S. as a guest on the evening of November 16.
Investigations indicate that the meeting began with a routine conversation. However, the consumption of alcohol drastically changed the situation. The disagreement between the two was reportedly about a debt issue.
L.S. had previously borrowed a large sum of money from K.M. She requested additional funds, but K.M. allegedly refused this time, saying “no.” This refusal is said to have escalated the conflict.
According to sources, L.S., in a fit of rage, grabbed a rope that was in the house and strangled K.M. to death. After committing the crime, she immediately tried to conceal the traces of blood and other evidence of the altercation.
The woman then took the body to her backyard garden and buried it in a pit under an apple tree. Despite her efforts to hide the crime, the body was discovered shortly after, police reported.
Following a complaint from the victim's relatives, an investigation was launched. Family members noted that disputes between the victim and the woman had previously occurred, often due to financial debts, which had been a recurring source of conflict.
After the incident, the suspect stole the victim’s smartphone and bank card. Local surveillance cameras and technical investigations revealed that she also attempted to use these devices.
The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case for murder. The suspect is in custody, and evidence is being prepared for court proceedings.
