An investigation into the famous Labubu toys in Russia showed alarming results. "Roskachestvo" specialists tested the toys in accordance with quality and safety requirements and found that one of the 13 samples contained a substance dangerous to health - dioctyl phthalate - above the norm.
During the inspection, the product was evaluated according to 53 indicators:
- quality of fabric and sewing,
- label data,
- indicators of toxicological and hygienic safety,
- total toxicity level.
As a result, the permissible level of dioctil phthalate, which may be present in the toy, was 2 mg/liter, and the determined value was 2.9 mg/liter.
Experts warn that this article:
- hormonal imbalance,
- poses a danger to children and pregnant women,
- harm to reproductive health,
- exacerbating behavioral and neurological problems,
- can damage liver and kidney function in the long term.
Dioctyl phthalate can also cause unpleasant conditions such as skin itching and allergies.
Authorities have now launched further investigations into the Labubu toys. Parents were advised to be careful when purchasing this product.
