
New details have been released regarding the bloody shooting incident at Brown University in the US. In this incident, two students, including a citizen of Uzbekistan, MuhammadAziz Umurzakov, died.
According to The Guardian, the body of the main suspect, 48-year-old Portuguese citizen Claudio Manuel Neves Valente, was examined by forensic medical examination. According to the conclusion, he committed suicide on December 18, approximately two days before his discovery.
Officials stated that the shooting occurred on December 13th in the university's engineering building. As a result of the incident, two students died, and nine others were injured to varying degrees. At the same time, within the framework of the investigation, the possible connection of Neves Valente with MIT professor Nuno Lureiro, who was shot dead at home on December 16, is also being investigated.
Investigators have determined that Neves Valente previously studied as a doctoral student at Brown University. The exact motives behind the events have not yet been officially disclosed. The investigation is ongoing, and officials emphasize that all circumstances are being thoroughly investigated.
