Kazakhstan to launch artificial intelligence tutors for schools

Kazakhstan is planning to widely implement artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the field of education in 2026–2027. This was reported by the Tengrinews.kz publication.
The country has begun the creation of a national digital profile system and a National Educational Platform. The Deputy Minister of Education emphasized that the National Education Database will be modernized and become a single data repository for electronic diaries, journals, and all LMS systems. In Kazakhstan, artificial intelligence agents will assist in reducing the daily workload of teachers. This technology will be effectively used in pedagogical councils and document preparation. Starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, the "Қазақ Digital Mektebi" project will be launched for small schools. Within this project, artificial intelligence tutors will operate. By 2026, over 200,000 teachers will have practical skills in artificial intelligence. In addition, special attention is being paid to raising AI literacy among students. As a note, 2026 has been declared the "Year of Digitization and Artificial Intelligence" in Kazakhstan.
