Uzbekistan and Turkey discuss expanding cooperation in education and scholarships.

On January 21, in Ankara, Munira Aminova, an advisor from Uzbekistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met with Abdulhadi Turus, head of Turkey's Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB). This was reported by uzdaily.uzreports.

During the discussions, the parties reviewed the current state of cooperation in education and cultural exchange, as well as new initiatives aimed at expanding it. Special attention was given to the results of YTB scholarship programs: in 2025, 228 citizens of Uzbekistan were admitted to these programs, with 136 students currently continuing their studies.

According to the information, over 3,200 graduates have successfully completed their education under YTB programs. A dedicated portal has been launched to strengthen connections with these graduates.

The meeting also discussed ongoing projects such as the 'Cultural Turk' encyclopedia, the Zangturon initiative, jewelry courses, and emergency medical training programs. Additionally, proposals for new projects in information technology and cybersecurity, specialized training for young diplomats, and the development of the pharmaceutical industry were considered.

In conclusion, both parties expressed readiness to further strengthen cooperation in education and professional development. They emphasized the importance of joint efforts in preparing highly qualified personnel and expanding professional exchanges.
