101 Russian drones left traces of destruction across Ukraine

On the night of Sunday, February 8, the Russian Armed Forces launched a major drone attack on Ukrainian territory. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the main strike was carried out by 101 drones: among them were Shahed-type kamikaze drones, "Gerbera," "Italmas," and other types of drones. It is reported that the drones were launched from the Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Primorsky-Akhtarsk, and Shatalovo routes.

Air defense has shot down or disabled 69 drones through electronic means in the north, south, and east of the country. However, it was noted that 32 attack drones reached the target at 13 points, and shrapnel fell in another place. It is noted that this wave covered many areas from the Kharkiv side to the Lviv region.

One of the worst news of the evening came from Kramatorsk. According to the Prosecutor's Office of the Donetsk region, at approximately 5:00 a.m., a FAB-250 air bomb equipped with a route module (UMPK) was dropped into the city. The explosion occurred near a multi-story building, killing a 77-year-old woman and injuring three men aged 40, 46, and 48. Houses and cars were also damaged, and a pre-investigation check has been launched.

In the south, there were reports of shelling of the central part of Kherson and the Korabelny district from reactive multiple launchers. Some sources report that eight women were injured, some rescuers pulled them out from under the rubble; later, official reports also noted an increase in the number of victims. Houses and various buildings were damaged as a result of the attack.

Strikes were also recorded in the energy sector: it was reported that infrastructure in the Poltava region, where Naftogaz facilities are located, was targeted, equipment was damaged, but there were no casualties. The operator also stated that "the number of targeted attacks on group facilities since the beginning of the year has reached 19."

Another blow was recorded around Odessa: local authorities reported damage to an industrial facility, and the blast wave shattered windows and frames in a religious building.

In western Ukraine, the city's leadership warned that explosions were heard in Lviv. According to the city mayor, Andrey Sadovoy, one drone was decontaminated in the public area, the target was important infrastructure, and there were no casualties.

These events clearly demonstrate one thing: the danger has not decreased even in areas far from the front line, and the geography of attacks has expanded. This means that the pressure on air defense may persist in the coming days, and infrastructure and residential areas may be at risk.
