An explosion occurred on Savelovskaya Station Square in Moscow

Today, on the night of February 24th, an explosion occurred in Savelovskaya Station Square in Moscow, Russia. As a result of the tragic incident, 2 people died, and two others were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity. This was reported by "Astra" publication.
Reportedly, the incident occurred around 00:05. The person who carried out the explosion approached traffic patrol officers, and an unknown object exploded.
As a result, Lieutenant D.B., a 34-year-old senior inspector of the road patrol service, died. At the time of the incident, two other employees received injuries of varying severity and were hospitalized. The explosion shattered the window of the official car and damaged the interior and other parts.
Although it was initially reported that the suspect had escaped, as a result of surveillance camera footage and inspection of the scene, investigators concluded that the person who carried out the explosion also died.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 317 (violation of the life of a law enforcement officer) and Article 222.1 (illegal use of explosive devices) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
