Hundreds of Uzbek citizens in Doha are receiving urgent assistance

Hundreds of Uzbek citizens stranded in Qatar after the tense situation in the Middle East are receiving practical assistance. According to the information, more than 500 compatriots are currently accommodated in hotels in Doha, and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Qatar is in constant contact with them and is trying to resolve the necessary issues on the spot.

According to the Dunyo news agency, embassy staff are regularly communicating with citizens temporarily staying in Doha, studying their needs, and taking practical assistance measures. In particular, on March 3, diplomats visited the hotels La Villa and OYYO Hotel and compiled a list based on the personal data of compatriots temporarily staying there. This was an important step towards the orderly and targeted organization of assistance.

Also, the embassy, in cooperation with the "Vatandosh" Public Foundation, delivered iftar meals to some needy citizens staying in hotels. Such assistance serves as a great moral support for people, especially against the backdrop of long waiting, uncertainty, and difficult conditions on the road.

Citizens in need of medical assistance were not left without attention. Reports indicate that some citizens with health issues were taken to Hamad Hospital and received the necessary medical assistance. This indicates that the situation is not limited to registration or placement, but there is an individual approach to each case.

In addition, the embassy did not stand aside in the serious case of a citizen who died in a road accident in Doha. It was reported that assistance was provided in the process of processing the necessary documents for the burial of the deceased, and a funeral ceremony was organized in cooperation with the relevant authorities of Qatar. This means that the diplomatic mission supports compatriots in difficult situations not only in matters of travel, but also in the most difficult moments.

At the moment, it is said that Qatar's airspace has not yet been fully opened. Therefore, the issue of the return of compatriots has not yet been fully resolved, but the embassy continues to monitor the situation day by day and take the necessary measures. Earlier, it was reported that 48 Uzbeks were stranded in Doha due to the closure of airspace, but now it is clear that the scale of the situation has expanded significantly.

In short, the current situation is not easy. But the most important thing is that hundreds of Uzbeks have not been left unattended. They have been accommodated in hotels, registered, food and medical assistance have been provided to those in need, and the embassy is operating on site. At such times, the greatest strength is order, communication, and not abandoning each other.
