For the first time in three weeks, a strong solar flare was recorded

For the first time in the past three weeks, a significant solar flare was observed. According to the Solar Astronomy Laboratory, on March 13 at 12:55 Moscow time, a class M1.2 flare occurred, lasting approximately 20 minutes. The previous peak of this class was recorded on February 25.

This event is significant because it occurred after nearly a month of decreased solar activity. The flare occurred at the edge of the solar disk, and plasma flows approached the Earth. Weak magnetic disturbances were also observed, previously detected. By the end of the day, an intensified magnetic storm is possible.

This situation is important for forecasting and space safety, particularly for radio communications and satellites.
