Terrible accident in Thailand: Uzbek citizen died

In Thailand, in one of the famous tourist areas — Phuket island, a tragic road traffic accident occurred, bringing grief to one family. On March 18, as a result of this tragedy, an Uzbek citizen died, and several other compatriots sustained various injuries.
According to initial information, the minibus transporting tourists to the Similan islands met with an accident on the road. The driver lost control of the vehicle, and the car collided with a power transmission pole at the roadside. There were 12 passengers in the bus. The accident happened around 04:00 local time.
As a result of the tragedy, one Uzbek citizen died at the scene. In addition, four of our compatriots were injured and taken under medical supervision. Moreover, eight Russian citizens in the vehicle also sustained bodily injuries, two of whom are in serious condition.
All the victims were taken to nearby medical facilities. Currently, Thai law enforcement authorities are conducting an investigation into the incident. According to preliminary information, the minibus driver lost control because the truck ahead made a sudden stop.
