US President Donald Trump once again made sharp and sensational statements regarding the situation around Iran. According to him, a serious blow against Iran is planned in the coming weeks.
"For the next 2-3 weeks, we will deliver a very powerful blow to them. We are capable of returning them to the Stone Age," Trump stated.
Other statements of the US President:
- The United States is on the verge of successfully completing its military operation in Iran;
- Currently, our priority is not diplomacy, but the continuation of hostilities;
- Iran no longer poses a threat to the Middle East;
- Iran's actions led to a short-term increase in fuel prices in the United States, but the country's economy is ready for this;
- Iranian missiles could have reached both Europe and the USA, they wanted to produce as many weapons as possible, and we destroyed these weapons;
- The United States does not need Middle Eastern oil at all;
- The situation with the Strait of Hormuz will be resolved after the end of the military operation;
- Countries wishing to obtain oil through the Strait of Hormuz must ensure security in the strait themselves or buy it from the USA.
Experts believe that such sharp statements could further exacerbate the situation in the Middle East. At the same time, the international community calls on the parties to resolve the situation diplomatically.
