A new kind of wedding in Iran: Weapons and masks at the wedding ceremony

In Iran, one of the most mysterious countries in the Middle East, wedding ceremonies are taking on an unexpected form. Recently, photos circulating on social networks are causing surprise among many.

The changes taking place in Iranian social life have not failed to affect even the most sacred tradition - wedding ceremonies. Today, among representatives of certain strata of the country, peculiar "politicized" or "militarized" wedding ceremonies are becoming a tradition.

Kalashnikov and niqab - a new "dress code"

It is noteworthy that in the photos circulating, the bride and groom appear not in traditional festive clothes, but in medical or military masks, holding Kalashnikov assault rifles in their hands. Such ceremonies are usually held under the image of the country's spiritual leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Observers interpret this situation differently: some see it as a symbol of ideological loyalty in the country, while others see it simply as a reflection of the unstable situation in the region and in the minds of young people.

The clash of traditions and ideologies

Iranian weddings used to be distinguished by their luxury and national colors. However, the scene in the photo speaks of a completely different atmosphere: here, romance seems to have been replaced by determination and military spirit. The pomegranates and flowers on the table give the impression of being in the shadow of weapons.

Such ceremonies once again show how deep the internal polarization and ideological influence in Iranian society are.

Dear readers, do you think it is right to introduce such military elements into the wedding ceremony? What do you think the presence of weapons in an environment of love and marriage means?
