Heavy flood disaster in Turkey: two people died

On April 8, a flood caused by heavy rains in the Turkish province of Usmaniya led to tragic consequences. According to local media, including "Sözcü," two citizens who were in the car died as a result of the natural disaster.
It was reported that the Bulbul gorge in the Kadyrli district overflowed due to heavy rainfall, flooding several nearby neighborhoods. Some cars were swept away by the strong current, while others were completely submerged. Two people who were in one of these vehicles died before the rescuers arrived.
Regional governor Mahmud Fatih Serdengechti arrived at the scene, inspected the affected areas, and took the situation under direct control. He noted that two citizens died in the area of the parking lot near the district health department and the Teachers' House, and the car was carried away by the current.
Additionally, all relevant services have been mobilized to eliminate the consequences of mudflows and floods. During the rescue operations, 550 personnel and more than 150 units of specialized equipment were involved, with special attention paid to ensuring the safety of citizens and reducing material damage.
Officials announced that controls would be tightened until the situation in the region stabilized, and the population was advised to strictly adhere to precautionary measures.
