Information has emerged regarding the birth of an unusual animal in the Kyzylorda region, reports inbusiness.kz.
According to online reports, an animal with a rare anomaly was born in the Kyzylorda region. The video shows a one-eyed kid with two pupils inside.
According to witnesses, the unusual kid was born on one of the private farms in the region. As it turned out, a very rare congenital anomaly was observed in the newborn goat. The eye sockets merged into a single eye. This phenomenon is called "cyclopia" in science," the unofficial statement said.
Experts state that cyclopia occurs during the early stages of embryonic development as a result of facial and brain structures not being fully separated. In this process, the eyeballs merge, resulting in one central eye instead of the usual two.
Such cases are very rare in nature, and as a rule, the chances of such creatures surviving are much lower. Nevertheless, this phenomenon is of great interest both scientifically and publicly.
The Department of Veterinary Medicine of the Kyzylorda Region, the municipal state enterprise on the right of economic management "Syrdarya District Veterinary Station," confirmed the information, but stated that the animal died several hours later.
