US-Iran negotiations have begun: Tehran has revealed its "red lines"

Amidst the complex political situation in the Middle East, the first round of indirect negotiations between the US and Iran was held. This was reported by the Associated Press.

According to sources, the parties communicated not directly, but through a mediator. In particular, the Pakistani side, led by Shehbaz Sharif, acted as a mediator. Delegations from Iran and the United States held separate meetings with him. It is reported that no direct negotiations between the two countries are currently planned.

At the same time, according to IRIB, Tehran has provided its own list of strict "red lines" for negotiations with the US through a mediating party.

It includes the following basic requirements:

- Recognition of Iran's full sovereign control over the Strait of Hormuz;

- payment of compensation for the consequences of war;

- Release of Iran's frozen assets abroad;

- Ensuring comprehensive and long-term peace in the region.

It is reported that Iran considers these conditions important and mandatory for the final agreement. According to analysts, these demands may complicate the negotiation process, but they clearly express Tehran's position.

So far, the US side has not officially commented on these conditions. At the same time, the continuation of negotiations can play an important role in matters of stability and security in the region.
