Trump: "New phase of talks with Iran could begin within hours"

US President Donald Trump told The New York Post that the next stage of talks with Iran could be held within the next 36-72 hours. He emphasized that "this is not impossible." The publication noted that this process is taking place amid the ongoing naval blockade around Iran's ports.
Previously, Trump announced that he had extended the truce with Iran and postponed the resumption of strikes against the Islamic Republic. This decision was made in response to a request from Pakistan's leadership to give Tehran an opportunity to develop unified proposals to resolve the conflict.
Earlier, Trump had also announced an extension of the ceasefire regime with Iran. He explained his statement with an appeal from Pakistan's leadership. Prior to this, the US president had stated that he did not intend to extend the existing truce regime. He also repeatedly accused Iran of violating ceasefire agreements, but did not provide specific details or evidence for these claims.
