Another serious conflict has occurred among foreign migrant workers in Russia. On May 12, a mass brawl broke out between citizens of Uzbekistan and Bangladesh at a large poultry farm in the Priladozhsky settlement, Kirovsky District, Leningrad Region.
According to local media, including “47news”, the conflict originated at the “Sinyavinskaya” poultry farm. What started as a verbal dispute quickly escalated into a major clash, with nearly 60 workers participating in the fight.
At least 20 people required medical attention as a result of the incident. Seven of them were hospitalized with serious injuries. Doctors have reported that the condition of some victims is critical.

Preliminary investigations suggest the fight was caused by a simple verbal disagreement. However, the specific reason that escalated the dispute has not yet been disclosed.
Journalists attempted to contact the company's management. “Fontanka” reporters managed to speak with the executive director managing the factory, but he refused to provide specific details about the conflict, the number of participants, or the victims, and ended the conversation.
Shortly after, the director of the poultry farm provided a brief comment, stating that an investigation into the incident is underway.
“There will be no comments on this matter for now; the situation is being studied,” he noted.
Law enforcement agencies are currently working to determine all the details of the incident. It was reported that the possibility of initiating a criminal case is also being considered by the police.
This incident once again highlights the urgent issues regarding the social environment, working conditions, and interpersonal relationships among migrants working in Russia. It is emphasized that authorities need to take additional measures to prevent such conflicts.
