A rare white lioness named Luna, living in a South Korean zoo, is sparking great interest on social media. Her blue-grey eyes, long eyelashes, and elegant appearance have amazed many users.
Many people, upon seeing Luna's photos, compare her to a "real Disney princess." Some users even thought her photos were created using artificial intelligence.
Experts explain that the lioness's unusual appearance is linked to a rare genetic trait called "leucism." In this condition, the amount of pigment in the animal's fur decreases, but the natural color of the eyes is preserved.
For this reason, unlike ordinary white lions, Luna has blue-grey eyes. Her long eyelashes not only distinguish her appearance but also serve as a natural feature that protects her eyes from sunlight and dust.
