Used car prices in Russia drop by 15%

In Russia, the average price of used cars has dropped by 15% over the past year, reports interfax-russia.ru citing "Drom".

In February, Russians purchased used cars at prices 15% lower than the previous year. The average cost fell from 1.3 million to 1.1 million rubles.

The biggest price drops were recorded for Toyota Vista (-45%), Hyundai Sonata (-24%), BMW X5 (-22%), and Hyundai Elantra (-20%).

Additionally, as of January 1, 2025, the average age of passenger cars in Russia is 15.5 years. The oldest vehicles are domestic cars, averaging 18.7 years. Japanese cars follow with an average age of 17.1 years, while American vehicles rank third at 15.4 years.
