Tesla recalls 46,000 Cybertrucks over roof issue
Tesla has recalled 46,096 units of the Cybertruck, sold between November 2023 and February 2025, due to a roof panel defect, speedme.ru reports. The steel decorative panel on the roof can detach while driving, posing a danger to both drivers and others on the road.

The proposed fix includes stronger adhesive and additional bolt-and-nut fastening. But some customers, after receiving their "repaired" vehicles, were shocked. Shared photos show sloppy welding, misaligned bolts, and panels that don’t match the body lines.

The repairs resemble amateur work rather than the quality expected from a premium electric pickup costing $80,000.

Cybertruck already suffers from build quality issues, poor panel fit, complaints, and weak demand. Even its eligibility for a $7,500 federal tax credit hasn’t saved it from criticism.
